Animals

Paragraph 1:

The animal in this photo is a ploar bear. Adult polar bears are 750 kilos. They can swim more than 150 kilometres.

Paragraph 2:

Females have two cubs every four of five years. Polar bears usually eat seals.

Polar bears live in the Arctic, Canada, Russia, Greenland and Norway. They live and hunt on the ice.

Paragraph 3:

Pollution is a problem, especialy oil. Humans hunt polar bears in some areas. The Arctic ice is smaler because the climate is changing.

London
London is a city in the south of England. People first lived in Londinium in the Romans times. In the Roman times there was 45000 people. Now the population is 7,5 millions.

There are places in London with the names of important people in history, like Trafalgare Squere, the Battle of Trafalgare and Victoria Street from Queen Victoria.

The people of London are called Londoners "Cockneys". Famous LOndoners include Charie Chaplin and Arthur Conana Doyle. Chaprlie Chapling is an actor and Arthur Conan Doyle was the writer of Sherlock HOmes storis.

Star Player: del Potro
Del Potro's full name is Juan Martín del Potro. He was born on 15th of September 1988 in Tandil, Argentina. He's 1 metre  98centimetres tall, is the tennis players tallest. He's slim and he's got short dark hair and brown eyes.

Del Potreo when wos younger played tennis and football. Del Potro first played tennis when he was seven years old, and he becaem professional when he was only 15 years old. Now he's 165th in the ATP ranking.

 

Del Potro didn't win the final Gran Slam in 2009. He lost the final Gran Slam against Andy Murray.

Day 1

I'm going to go on an expedition next week. I'm going to cross the Australian desert. I must take my equipment, a jeep and my archaeological equipment.

Day 2 

Here I'm in my jeep. It's hot and sunny, and I'm staying next tot he rocky mountains. I'm going to take archaeological pieces next to the rocky montain. I'm going to go climbing in the rocky mountains later.

Day 3

This is me on top of the rocky montain. I'm going to finish the expedition next Friday. I must take my equipment, my archaeological equipment and my jeep.

A British royal wedding

Prince William

The British have always loved Prince William. His mother, Princess Diana, was adored by the public. She died  in 1997. Many people think that William should be the next king of the United Kindom, not his father, Prince Charles.

Kate Middleton

Royals normally marry nobility.But Kate is from a rich family, but they are not royalty. Some of her ancestors were poor miners and her mother was an air hostess. The British think it is incredible that a "commoner" will marry the future king of the UK.

The weather

The weather is a very popular topic of conversation in Britain. That's because the weather changes a lot.

When the weather is good,people complain that it's too hot.

When it rains, they say it's too wet. When isn't sunny, they say it's too cold.

It's not surprising that Britain has got one of the most important weather centres in the world.

Unit 8

British peple read a lot.

They read books, newspapers and magazines. A quarter of the population reads more than 20 books each year.

The British Library is one of the world's greatest libraries. The Queen opened tis new building in 1998. It's got books of course, but also sound recording, music, maps, newspapers and mgazines. 

People predicted that radio,  then television, then the internet would kill reading, but it el still a very popular acivity and necessary.

Unit 7

Sports in Britain.

Millions of people take part in some kind of sporting activity. Half of all men over 16 regularly participate in sport.

The top level of the game is professional football in the Premierships. We went to a training sessions with a Premiership team from South East London, Charlton Athletic.

Cricket is the main summer sport in Britan. Local teams play in towns and villages every Saturday and Sunday from April to September.

Tennis is another popular sport, especially in the summer after the famous Wimbledon championships. There are tennis courts all over Britain.

Unit 6

People love animals.

In some parts of the world people collect rhino horn for use in medicine. Others carve ornaments for tourist from ivory from elephant tuscks. Another big problem is the destruction of the rainforests This is removing the habiltat of many animals, like these gorillas, birds and plants.

There are a number of projects in Britan which deal with endangered spacies. Here at Port Lympne Animal Park there are elephants, lions, African hunting dogs and many others.

Kylie Minogue

Kylie Mingoue is famous for her catchy, dance-pop music. She is the only female singer to have a number one UK album in four consecutive decades (1980s, 1990s, 2000s 2010s). Her new album is called Aphrodite. With hit singles like "All the Lovers" and "Get Wutta My Way", the new album is classic Kylie Minogue.

Paragraph 1: Here's some information about my timetable and my school.
Paragraph 2: School starts at 9 o'clock and finishes at 5 o'clock but on Tuesday it finishes at 6 o'clock. My favorite subjects are maths and ICT. In Wendesday and Friday goes to English lessons with Jordi Brunso.
Paragraph 3: I have lunch at 2 o'clock and I usally eat pasta, vegetables, fish meet or eggs.

Santa Maria Day

Paragraph 1: Every year there's a big celebration in Banyoles. The Santa Maria day is in August.
Paragraph 2: On the day of the celebration I get up early and meet my friends. I wear a costum and I also go fishing on sisteenth of August.

Houses  

There are lots of different kinds of houses. 

Houses in different parts of Britain can look very different. There are lots of regional variations because builders use local materials. 

Some houses are very modern and some are hundreds of years old.

British people spentd a lot of time and money on their homes and garden.

Do you like shopping?

Traditional, local shops exist in some areas. They sell different things like fook, medicines and cosmetics, clothes and book and other products. 

For a lot of people going shopping doesn't mean they are going to by anything. Many people never spentd any money. It's a social event.

In my class there are 32 students frome diferents countres: Catalonia, Spain, Marrocco and Russia.

At school we have Catalan and Spanish three times a week. My friends speak Catalan in the garden and in the class speak Catalan, Spanish and English.

My level of English is medium. I want to improve the grammar and pronuntation. My vocabulari is goot but not very good. I think it's a goot want to improve my listening and writing.

Unit 3

The school day.

For most students in Britan, the school day starts between eight thirty and nine o'clock.
People tavel to school using many different transport. they cycle, they walk and they come in cars.
Each lessons lasts for an hour.
After lunch it's back to the classroom. The main subjects in the school timetable are Englis, maths and science. Then there's French or Spanish, history and geography.
Students have homework every day.

The Junk food

Most schools in Britan provide hot meals and salads every day but many students prefer to take their own lunch to school.

A lot of chocolate, crips, fatty foods and cola isn't good for people. But these foods are everywhere. 

One school in England hels students to eat healthy food with the Green Machine.

Green Machines have got lots of interestign snack. There are ceral bars, organic crisps, yoghurts, and the drinks in Green Machines are healthy as well.

The British Royal Family

The Queen of England is the Queen Elizabeth the Second.

The Queen's husband is the Duke of Edinburgh. They've got four children. Their oldest son is Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales.

The Queen lives in a palace in London, Backingham Palace. These soldiers guard the palace.
Prince William and Prince Harry are the Queen's grandchildren. They are the sons of Princess Diana and Prince Charles.
When they are in London, Princes William and Harry live here in Clarence House. They don't live in Buckingham Palace. 
Prince Harry wants to be a soldier in the army.
It is difficult for the Royal Family to have private lives.

THE FAMOUS SMITH FAMILY

You know the famous actor Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith. You also know their son, Jaden, who was in Karate Kid. Now meet their daughter, Willow Smith, aged ten. She has relasesd hes released ger first single "Whip My Hair". Willow's nick-name is "Baby Rihana" because her music and style is influenced by Rihanna.

Banyoles

Banyoles is a city in the north of Catalonia. It's got a population of about 18,000, and there is a lot of tourism here because they like to visit the lake.

I like Banyoles because it's a very friendly place. For tourists there are a lot of restaurants and I go kayaking in the lake. My favourite places are the lake and the Plaça Major.

Banyoles is 120 kilometres form Barcelona. There are different busses that go from Banyoles and to the airport of Barcelona.
